Today, (8/19) Cumulus Broadcasting and Mix 97.3 lost one of our family members. Gary Robinson, Morning Show Host and Program Director for Mix 97.3 passed away in the 3:00 o’clock hour. Gary has been a member of the Cumulus family since April of 2002. Gary fought a hard fight against Crohn's Disease. Gary was an amazing man and one of the most talented and dedicated D.J.’s with whom I have ever worked. He leaves behind a beautiful wife, 3 girls, his mother, two brothers, a sister and hundreds of thousands of listeners who loved him. Gary loved the cowboys and 80’s music. He enjoyed work as much as anyone I ever met. He was surrounded by loving family members and many of the friends from his church and work. We will miss Gary dearly but will always have beautiful memories of him, his voice, his humor and his family to cherish. Funeral arrangements have not been finalized as yet. We will send additional information as soon as it is available.
